Panel at ALL Digital summit:
Empowering women as future leaders in IT project management

As the digital economy grows, so does the need for diverse leadership in technology. At the upcoming ALL Digital Summit, the panel "Empowering women as future leaders in IT project management" will bring together inspiring voices from across Europe to explore how women, especially those transitioning from non-tech sectors, can be empowered to take on leadership roles in IT project management.

The session will take place on Thursday, September 11th, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the Mediterranean Conference Centre Valletta in Malta, as part of the SHIFT4IT initiative, developed through the Erasmus+ project Shifting the paradigm for women in IT. The initiative supports women in career shifts into IT through mentoring, skills development, and hands-on experiences.

The discussion will feature three speakers who bring not only professional expertise but also personal insight gained from their own career journeys. Each speaker will share their stories, challenges, and successes, providing participants with a broader perspective and practical examples of how theory and practice intersect in real-world IT leadership. HR professional Nora Lazić from Croatia has nearly a decade experience working it the IT sector. Nora will share her perspective on how companies can create stronger support systems for women in leadership. Joining online from Belgium, Honorine Umuhire will share her journey of transitioning from the pharmaceutical industry to her current role as a Cybersecurity Program Manager, as well as her work advocating for greater inclusion of women in technology. Laurentiu Bunescu, Head of Digital Education Programmes from EOS Romania, will speak about the importance of digital skills, mentorship, and inclusive policies in shaping future IT leaders.

The discussion will be moderated by Hana Galogaža Lanča, from Center of technical culture Rijeka in Croatia, project coordinator of SHIFT4IT and an expert in non-formal education and digital empowerment.
